Questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to go live?

Most clinics are live in under a week; multi-branch hospitals typically take two to four weeks including data migration, master setup and staff training. A dedicated onboarding specialist works with you end to end.

Can we migrate data from our current software?

Yes. We import patient demographics, drug masters, price lists and opening stock from Excel/CSV exports of virtually any HMS, and we validate every record with your team before switch-over.

Is MediCore ABDM-ready?

Yes. MediCore supports ABHA creation and linking, care-context linking and consent-based record sharing over the ABDM network, helping you meet India's digital health standards out of the box.

How is our data kept secure?

Every hospital runs in its own isolated tenant enforced at the database layer with row-level security, encrypted connections, role-based access control and a full audit log of every sensitive action.

Does it work across multiple branches?

Yes. MediCore is multi-tenant and multi-branch by design — each branch runs its own operations while leadership gets consolidated analytics and central control over users, plans and modules.

What support do we get?

All plans include onboarding, training and email support. Professional and Enterprise plans add priority phone/WhatsApp support and a named account manager.

What is a hospital management system (HMS)?

A hospital management system is software that runs a healthcare facility's clinical and operational work — patient records (EMR), appointments, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, inpatient (IPD), operating theatre, billing and insurance — on one connected platform. MediCore delivers all of these in a single secure, cloud-based, ABDM-ready system.

Which types of healthcare businesses can use MediCore?

MediCore works for multi-specialty hospitals, polyclinics and nursing homes, standalone and chain pharmacies, diagnostic and pathology labs, eye/ophthalmology clinics, dental clinics, IVF and fertility centres, and blood banks — each with modules tailored to its workflow.

Can MediCore run a standalone pharmacy or a single clinic?

Yes. MediCore scales down to a single pharmacy or clinic and up to multi-branch hospital groups. A pharmacy gets rack-level batch/expiry stock, one-tap e-prescription import and GST billing; a clinic gets EMR, appointments and billing — you only enable the modules you need.

How is MediCore different from other hospital software?

MediCore is cloud-based and integrated end-to-end (EMR, pharmacy, labs, IPD, billing, insurance and multi-branch analytics in one platform) instead of stitched-together modules. It's ABDM/ABHA-ready out of the box, enforces tenant isolation with database row-level security, ships automatic documented weekly updates, and uses transparent monthly pricing instead of large upfront licences.

How much does a hospital management system cost in India?

MediCore uses transparent monthly subscription plans instead of a large one-time licence — you start on a free trial and move to a paid plan sized to your staff count and modules, with GST extra. There's no big upfront investment or annual maintenance contract; you can add modules or extra storage any time and it's billed on the same monthly invoice.

Is MediCore cloud-based or on-premise?

Both. Most customers run on our secure cloud (SaaS) — no servers to buy or maintain, automatic updates and backups, with each hospital's data isolated at the database layer, encrypted in transit and backed up on a schedule. Recovery is carried out by MediCore on request, so a restore is never something your staff can trigger by mistake. If your data must stay on your own premises, MediCore also ships as a single-tenant on-premise install unlocked by a signed licence key that verifies offline, so it runs even on an air-gapped network.

Does MediCore handle pharmacy billing with GST and batch/expiry?

Yes. The pharmacy module is a full POS with rack-level stock, first-expiry-first-out batch picking, expiry guards, GST invoices, returns and daily sales reports — and it imports the doctor's e-prescription straight into the bill so dispensing takes seconds.

Can we run MediCore under our own brand?

Yes — three ways. Keep our managed cloud and put your own logo, colours and domain across the staff console, patient portal and every printed prescription, report and invoice. Or license a single-tenant on-premise install that runs inside your own data centre, unlocked by a signed licence key verified offline. Or, if you are a software vendor or IT partner, resell MediCore as your own product under a revenue-share, flat-licence or fully detached agreement. Every option runs the same MediCore core on the same release train.

Do we need a separate tool to send patient reminders and campaigns?

No. Campaigns are part of the platform, not an add-on. Because your patient list already lives in MediCore, you can build a segment — everyone on file, patients who have not visited in 90 days, a chronic condition drawn from the clinical record, or by gender for a screening drive — preview the exact recipient list, then send over SMS, WhatsApp or email, immediately or scheduled. Delivery is tracked per message and every send is logged in one communications history.

Where is our data stored, and who can see it?

Your hospital runs in its own isolated tenant, enforced by PostgreSQL row-level security at the database layer rather than only in application code, so no other hospital on the platform can read your records. Access inside your hospital is governed by granular roles you control, every sensitive action is written to an audit trail, connections are encrypted in transit, and backups run on a schedule with a guarded restore path. MediCore is built to support India's DPDP Act; patients can consent to, export and erase their own data from the patient app.

Can a small clinic or nursing home use MediCore?

Absolutely. MediCore scales from a single clinic, pharmacy or nursing home up to multi-branch hospital groups. Smaller facilities enable just the modules they need — registration, appointments, EMR, pharmacy and billing — on an affordable plan, and can add more as they grow.
